Okkervil River - Blue Tulip
A while back I raved about the mythic status of Soul on Fire from Spiritualized’s Songs in A&E .
Here we go again. The new Okkervil River record, The Stand Ins, is out, and this song Blue Tulip is brilliant and complex, quiet and loud, organ and harmonies, it hit me on first listen, I can’t see liking another song this much this year, maybe next year too.
